Please see below, our advert for the Young Members’ Officer Role which is part of our Branch Committee. This is a very important, elected role which aims to ensure that the voice of UNISON members under the age of 27 is heard in our branch and workplaces and also to make sure that issues affecting young members are acted upon. The role has been vacant for a while, which we know is not good enough, so support and training will be provided to enable anyone wishing to try the role can thrive and make our branch more inclusive and representative. There are also fantastic development opportunities and initiatives, regionally and nationally, especially for UNISON young members wanting to get more involved and active.
If you want to talk about the role or what it would entail you can contact Phil Allen, Equalities Officer with UNISON Tameside Local Government Branch on 07587205005 or contact the branch office on 0161 308 2452.
