Care for the NHS? Vote for it

DP_NHSThere are nine days to go until the general election next Thursday, and the stakes are massive: especially for one of our key public services – the National Health Service.

Polling tells us that the NHS is a key concern for UNISON members in this election, and for voters at large. We need to pull out all the stops.

As general secretary Dave Prentis told a rally in Leeds at the end of last week: “The last five years have shown that the NHS is not safe in Tory hands. Only a change of government will protect it.”

He reminded the crowd: “Others over the years have fought for the NHS, defended it – now is the time for us to do the same.”
